Clermont National Golf Course, located in Clermont, Florida, is an 18-hole championship layout known for its rolling hills, scenic views, and modern practice facilities. Originally built in 1962 on land belonging to the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, the course later expanded to 18 holes when architects Finger, Dye & Spahn added the back nine in 1986. Fisher Mountain Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout located in the scenic Potomac Highlands near Franklin, West Virginia. The Aero Club Short Course is a unique and laid-back 18-hole par-3 golf course located on the south end of Myrtle Beach near Myrtle Beach International Airport. Designed to be fun, fast, and accessible, the course offers a casual alternative to traditional championship layouts while still providing a great short-game challenge.
Opened in 2020, the layout stretches roughly 1,300 yards with hole distances ranging from about 67 to 95 yards, making it ideal for beginners, families, and golfers looking to sharpen their pitching and putting skills.
What sets the Aero Club apart is its energetic atmosphere. LED lighting allows for night golf, music plays throughout the course via multiple speakers, and each tee box features tabletops with drink holders for a relaxed social experience. The Sunday Bermuda greens roll true and are guarded by bunkers and occasional water hazards that reward accuracy and touch.
Located directly under the flight path of the airport, golfers often watch planes land overhead while playing. The course name and clubhouse décor pay tribute to the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base, adding a touch of local aviation history to the experience.
